Over the past weeks, our cherry tomatoes has been ripening nicely on the sunny balcony. It has been so hot for several days (up to 40 degrees) that I needed to water them twice a day (and of course I use organic fertilizer at least once a week). Apart from this they seem to be very happy.
And exactly a week ago we collected our first crop! The children ate most of them – they are delicious! But I did not forget to take out some seeds and let them dry – for the next year. Because if you remember, I chose my tomato seeds very carefully and avoided hybrids that cannot reproduce.
Our Abraham Lincolns are growing nicely as well. Compared to the small cherry tomatoes they are already huge! I can’t wait to taste them 🙂
