This is a gorgeous and sustainable summer style consisting of an oversized sweater from Rowan Knitting and Crochet Magazine 53 and a juicy Monkee Genes pant made from organic cotton. I spent many hours knitting the beautiful Santorini pullover designed by Marie Wallin this spring because the sophisticated flower motif was extremely difficult to make, mainly because it was my first attempt to knit using the intarsia technique with so much colour. The pullover itself is knitted using the fully recycled wonderfully tweed effect Purelife Revive (recycled silk, cotton and viscose) yarn – I bought it on eBay half price ;-). The magnificent flower motif is knitted with a popular Wool Cotton yarn (50% cotton, 50% merino wool) that comes in many beautiful shades – eleven are required for the motif.
I combined the wonderfully bloomy sweater with a bright Lemon Sorbet Organic Sateen Supa-Skinny pant by my favourite British brand Monkee Genes – it is even still available on sale for only £35.00 (sizes 26 and 28)! Et voilà ! A relaxed and chic summer look is born!
